I am a junior and my parents are cool about me going to prom. I know how to have fun and also be smart at the same time. I have done stupid things in my life, but everyone makes "mistakes". I am going to prom with my boyfriend whom they know and are comfortable with. Now about post prom......let's just say that's pending!!!! lol!!

My parents know that me and my boyfriend have already had sex. They act like they're cool with it. I mean, I know that they arent but, they dont say anything when I say, "Haye, he's coming to get me, I'll be back around 10:00" I mean, Prom night, we dont have any intentions on doing anything, but I think my parents think that we do. Me and my date are planning on going with a bunch of my boyfriends friends. No problem there...there will be adults there....I think. My mom is like tot a lly freakin out about the dresses I pick out too. All I find is backless dresses. Thats all I want also. She's FREAKIN out about it all. Now, I think that she's ok with it...I told her that my boyfriend might be getting me a promise ring....I'm not sure though...what am I gunna do to change all of this?!?!

well my dad is a preacher and he once was "a bad kid" and he says he knows what all guys want and all that...but the guy that asked me go is also my boyfriend and he would never push me to do anything that i didnt want to do...and he knows that i dont want to do anything...so i really dont think that there is anything to worry about but my dad thinks otherwise

My mom and dad are very supportive of me and my boyfriends prom plans. 3 of my girlfriends, their dates, and I have rented a beach house for the after prom party. My mom trust me enough to make the right decisions. Its important these days for parents to trust the kids.

A lot of these comments are really negative, so I want to give my parents a big thanks for Prom '03. They let me spend the night at co- ed sleepover at my friend's house (which is totally uncharacteristic of them). Trust on prom night from your parents can only be attained by building up their trust year- round.

My parents are ok with everything this year. Last year, my freshmen year, was my first prom and I went with my former boyfriend. I had an earlier curfew, but we were ok with that. This year I'm going with my current boyfriend whom they love to death. They trust us both and know that yes, we will have fun but we don't know what will end up happening. My parents and his parents trust us, so it's not a problem.

my mom and dad r gr8 about the whole Prom idea, i dont really have alot of confidence in myself so i was not thinking about going because i thought it would be for the "look at me" kind of people but i was wrong, my parents persuaded me to go and im going with a group of friends. Im so excited and im so glad they r being understanding, some of u people need to sit and have a grown up chat with your parents it solves so much easily. The only difference with my school is that we only h ave one Prom the year of leaving. Hope everybody has a great night though!!

My parents seem to never understand how kids have changed since they were younger. Well it seems more my dad then my mom. My dad is extremely protective of me he is always making fun of me saying that i always make out with guys. It doesnt make much sense to me seeing he doenst allow me to date. Homecoming was coming around and I was extremely afraid to ask my father if I could go. I usually know his response. I asked him and I talked him about it for 3 hours! It seemed like t here was no convincing him. I called up a bunch of friends and we all had the three way thing going...it was more like a six way. I told them all the story and they were helping me get through it. We all had to go so we got off the phone. I live in a different city than I go to school in so it takes a while to get to my house. About 30 minutes later all of my friends showed up! I was so suprised they all came in and told my dad all about me and how much of a good kid that I am. My dad lo o ked freeked out. I thought I was going to get in trouble. Intead I got to go to homecoming and with a guy! It was amazing. I live with the nights I cant remember with the friends I'll never forget
