our prom is being held at an old train station..and its gorgeous..it has high vulted ceilings and big windows with marble floors..and i was thinking..."MIDNIGHT AT THE ORIENT EXPRESS" ...idk..i think it would be really pretty and fun

Our theme for the 2004-2005 prom was Moonlight Masquade. I was held at this place called The Grand Newport Plaza. The colors were red black and white

We dont have proms in New Zealand, but we have a slightly less "out there" Ball. It's similar, but we dont have them on cruise liners or pay out hundreds and hundreds for our dresses (i.e. a traditional prom dress is OTT here). Last years theme was "Gansters, Gatsbys, and All That Jazz" where the people looked stunning (I only saw photos). This years theme was "Happily Ever After: A Classic Fairytale" and the place was stunning! Everyone looked gorgeous and I cant wait for next years! We also have an organised afterball party which starts at midnight and finishes at like 5am.

Our theme this year was Havana Nights. The colors were black, red, and gold. We made out own backdrop out of 8*10 ply-wood and we separated about 8 of them where you could read the backdrop. There were about 300 roses everywhere in gold vases. We hung gold sheer drapes from the raptors to close off the dance floor. Our prom at first sounded like it wasnt going to turn out good, but when we got there it was so beautiful! We did a realy good job decorating, and we didnt have to do a whole lot.

i'm a sophmore this year but im helping out with the other proms and mine. my school is where the ska band Catch 22 is from, so we were going to have a Catch 22 theme or a ska theme since we have ska bands in the school.

This is a really cool theme for any event, our school used it two years ago. it was "Jamaican me Crazy". Our colors were black, green, red, and yellow. We decorated it kind of tropical, it was really funn!

I graduated several years ago, but the juniors plan the jr/sr prom. The theme we chose was "what a wonderful world". We used the Louis Armstrong song, but our decorations were influenced by "Alice in Wonderland". It was amazing. trees and bushes, curtesy of balloons and gossamer surrounded a star covered dance floor, and the cheshire cat watched over everyone. The king was even crowned with the hat of the Mad-Hatter, and of course the lady was the queen of hearts. Snacks were served in tea party fashion and playing cards made fun center pieces.

"Opposites Attract"... I have look through half of these themes and have not found one school who has done this. It would be "polka dots & stripes" or "black & white", "silver & gold", "Fire & Ice", "Angels & Demons", those are just some examples of decorating... This seems like a very broad theme and can be easily elaborated on to encorporate any decorations you may want. Last year as a junior, the seniors organized homecoming. The theme was rock 'n roll. They had the cutest decorations. Our invitations had people dancing rock 'n roll style.Our napkins looked like old LP's. Everything was so cute and sophisticated.This year as a senior, our council is still thinking of a possible theme of our homecoming.

"Red Carpet Affair" Our budget is small but we are comming up with great ideas...Our colors are Silver, Cranberry and Black. What really is going to make it nice is the fact that we will be able to use one of the patios, so that couples can go out and have some private time. I think that that will be the most Romantic place we will have for our couples to either bond or just finalize a break up! Log in next time for the results.

so we have this ridiculous prom com head this year she's like the castro of school dances. she refuses to have a vote for the theme, as is tradition. instead she plans to simply impose her will and do "winter wonderland" prom, which nobody wants. i'm pulling for star wars, moondance, harry potter, or james bond. so let the open rebellion begin, i suppose. comments? tips? punk_ass36@hotmail.com

Hi there! Our theme this year was "A Night Under the Stars". We had shiney aluminum foil covered stars hanging from the ceiling and the floor had glitter on it. The walls had white blinking christmas lights on them. It was beautiful

Our theme was "Love in the Air", our school gymnasium had red and pink hearts dangling from the ceiling and were all over the walls and bleachers. My girlfriend and I won prom King and Queen. This was a fun Junior prom.

Our senior prom theme this year was "Starlit love". If you ever seen the movie Carrie, that's what our decorations kinda looked like. We had wacky silver stars hanging from the ceiling and all around the walls. Colorful red, yellow, blue, orange, white and green lights that flashed. I was on the decorating committee, we used really tall ladders to hang the stars from the ceiling. The King-n-Queen stage was very beautiful, all silver. We also had white and black streamers. My dress was baby blue and very pretty. Since our theme and decorations were similar to the ones from the movie Carrie, my mom teased me before I left with the famous line from Carrie, "THEY"RE ALL GONNA LAUGH AT YOU!", But the Queen didn't get any pig blood poured on her, which was good, cuz I didn't want the gym to burn down or have everyone die. I had a great time. Bye-Bye!

WOW ! Our theme this year was great ! It was "An Evening in Hawaii" The decorations were palm trees, real sand and our center peice was a large black volcanoe with red balloons coming out of the top with a flashing lightbulb below the balloons. At the doors were two girls wearing grass hula skirts, coconut bras and flowers in their hair.
