Hey im in Australia and here we dont have a "prom" but we do have a year 12 (thats our last year of high school) formal, which i am organising and for the first time ever we are having a theme!!!!YAY. Anyway its masquerade and the students dont have to dress to suit the theme but we are decorating our venue and giving them all a mask. This year we 8th Graders want the best prom. We would love to have a live band there playing all their and we want it to be a night club partyin theme i wish that would happen but I doubt it b/c the schools budget isn't the best but that would be our theme.

Last year, the theme of our prom was "Time of Your life" from the song by Greenday.. that was the last song they played. It was really heartfelt, because it was just basicly summing up the past 4 years of high school. And the prom favors were picture frames with a clock on the other side, with the engraving "time of your life" it was so cute!

Well last year at my school prom they did an Oscar award ceremony. With a red carpet, all the draping curtains, and we had real awards! It looked really amazing, they had really pushed the boat out even though it was in our school hall! We also had a chocolate fountain where you could dip marshmallows and strawberries in...It was really fun.

Last year's prom was "A Night in Central Park", and this year we had a Sadie Hawkins' theme of "Fairytale Romance." It was hard to decorate for at first, but the Romance one turned out pretty well. We pretty much just made it dreamlike, with a lot of toole and flowers.

okay... i went to 3 proms this year... 1) what heaven's made of... it was done up really pretty... it had water fountains and the ceiling was covered in cloth or gauze or something.. it was pretty they had balloons everywhere 2) hollywood... they had a red carpet going down the hallway... the 2 sides were roped off so the parents and other "uninvited guests" could stand behind and be our paparazzi.. it was cool, but everybody is doing the whole hollywood thing. I forgot the last prom them, it had to do something with heaven though

Our prom theme this year is 'An Enchanting Evening' It is pretty much a throwback to the early century with things like the gas street lamps and all kinds of goodies! Thankfully I'm on prom comittee so I got to choose what I wanted :)

This year for our schools eight grade prom, I am on the prom committe, we are planning to do a Hollywood, Red Carpet theme. The colors are Black and Gold with a little bit of red mixed in. I hope that this will be a GREAT turn out and a night to remember for everyone!

i'm on the prom committee this year, and as a class, we voted on James Bond/007 for a theme since we are the class of 2007. however, almost everyone in my class is wondering how it won (by a landslide!) because they didn't vote for it.. so, after reading this, it sounds like james bond has been done before and i was looking for some input and some ideas to make prom great and show everyone that this is not a dumb theme. our colors are black, red, silver, and gold. some of our ideas include: cut out silhouettes, city scapes, free sunglasses, and maybe even a valet parker... e-mail any ideas to :lizzieadamec@hotmail.com subject: james bond prom

fer shue this years promis gonna suck.. we have a bunch of stupid ideas .. like under the sea.. and like get these machines that pump out blue and green streamers and shit.. and like we're gonna get a few bublle machines for the door ways.. so when you walk in .. you cant really see til you walk through this huge amount of bubbles! but our other ideas were over the rainbow and a VIP room.. but i gues we're stuck with this gross under the sea shit! gosh and like sumone said in the entrace with all the bubble we should have the theme song from a little mermaid playing.. but eww .. thats ugly ..
