Are prom is on June 2nd and our theme is "Una Bella Notta" (A beautiful night) We have our prom at Villa Tacci every year which is a huge villa......it is absolutely beautiful outside of the building with flowers and water fountains...it is pretty much like a royal garden. Anyways, the problem is the inside of the villa where we have our dinner and dancing is quite dull.....and the celling is exceptional high.....so it is hard to decorate the celling......and because the villa is historical we can not really put stuff on the walls...To sum this up, by any chance does anyone have any ideas how to decorate a large room with out putting things on the wall or the celling?

"A Walk In Venice" This year our prom was seriously AMAZING!!! When I first heard the theme I wasn't really sure but honestly it was honestly beautiful!!!

-- From Sasha Parsons, ,

My junior prom was in March - really early, I know, but I go to an arts school and we have a buttload of performances in April/May. Our theme was "Welcome to Miami." It was such a good idea! No one else in our area had EVER thought of it. Even the building was very unique - it was in an old historic firehouse downtown. The firehouse's courtyard had a gorgeous fountain and garden in the center, which is where we had pictures. On the inside, we had tiki hut- type things for the food and drinks, and we had a lot of salsa and flamenco music. One problem, though - there were beta fish on the tables, and no one took them home. So the following week, people from prom committee were walking around campus with random red and orange fish, trying to give them out. lol

Prom 2006 - " It Had to Be You " It was an awesome night =]

-- From carrie, AHS, CA

for our 05-06 prom theme we did "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER" it was really cool especially since it was on a saturday night and we had a light up dance floor and the backdrop for the stage was an irridescent material. since the place we rented out did not allow us to hang anything from the ceiling we just had huge disco ball centerpieces. for lighting we used these big blocks of lights that were stacked up about four to a stack and could change to whatever color you wanted. so yeah, that was pretty tight. with more money we would have had two big screens on either side of the stage and a camera man walking around filming people with the footage going onto the screens.

Our Prom Theme was so Elegant. It was , "Happily Ever After... A Fairy Tale Moment" It was so original, and the location fit the theme really well (on the tarrace of Coco Reefs)

-- From Rasheeda Burgess, Mount Saint Agnes Academy , Bermuda

last years Junior prom was themed MOULIN ROUGE we had it in a 4 story art museum and danced on the roof, we played music from the movie i.e. "Can Can" "Lady marmalade" etc and everyone dressed for the occasion with costumes from the movie (but classy) our invites were an exact replica of the movie poster and it was a really successful idea, try to think outside the box and people will really enjoy it!

The next prom is planning to be James Bond (grad is 007 so what the hey?) but I have no idea how to decorate the gym. If there are any ideas please e-mail me amyjennison950@hotmail.com. It would be a huge help! Thank you!! :)

this year prom was "diamonds and ice". the year before it was "tropical paradise"...very blah and cliche if you ask me. for homecoming we've had a rock bands theme, superheros, and this year it was "a night on the strip" aka las vegas. winterball we've had "frosty flashback" (decades), havana nights, and a "ho down". yeah that was sketchy. then for sadies we've had "je'aime paris" or something like that, and arabian nights. i'm really hoping we come up with an awesome theme this year for homecoming...

Alright, so I have been searching on this site for about an hour deciding on a theme. Let me tell you all looking for one what I have. Our school: Freshman year homecoming - New York, New York (it was okay...) Sophomre Homcoming - Hawaiian Paradise (I hate this theme, completely over done) Junior Homecoming- The 80's, AWESOME!!!! we decorated with movies signs from the 80's and tv shows and sayings. the colors were bright, and it was completely fun. But there were hardly any 80's music. Junior Prom - Masqurade Ball. Awesome I decorated a mask to match my dress. It was so cool, everyone loved it. Senior Homecoming- Here's my choices so far: Wild, Wild West Legends of Camelot Disney Fairytales 60's TV Classics - GIlligan, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanies, etc.. Night on the Nile Candyland Take Me Out To the Ball Game Pirates of the Carribean (it is hot this year) Vegas Night Parker Brother (Monopoly, Sorry!, every other basic game you played as a kid) Sci-Fi There's No Place Like Homecoming ( As in Wizard of Oz) Under the Sea Roman Empire Oriental NIght European Adventure (Every corner is a different country) The Oscars James Bond - 007 Cirque de Solei (circus minus the elephants of course) Well thats what I got, thanks for the help

DV Class of 2007 needs an awesome prom theme. Some of the officers want the nautical theme w/white & blue being the primary colors, but I've been talking to majority of the class about it and they don't like it. When they think of prom, they think of elegant dress & such. Anyone have different ideas that are rare? email me: sweetie_reeza16@yahoo.com

-- From Theresia, DV High, Milford PA

The decorator was superb "Gran Soiree, Inc." We had a castle , king and queen chair, a pedastal with a glass slipper. To top it off we had a cinderella bed decorated with baby blue carpet and columns with vines. The prom committee recieved a carriage with their name on there souvenier. I attended 3 proms and this was the best.

"it had to be you" as in the frank sinatra song, our school modeled this prom after a club in the 40's. Iddeas are easily found in movies such as the aviotar, the notebook, and pearl harbor, Its all about the 40's.

The colors were dark blue and white...they had stars everywhere...this year we are going to do something like "Could Not Ask For More" and of course the "I Could Not Ask For More" song by Sara Evans...and have red, gold, and silver as our colors..very elegant and classy...and have roses everywhere!! PROM 2007!!!

-- From Jenna, MLS School, MO

The 04' senior prom theme at my friends school was "Cities in the lights" and they decorated each corner of their gym with like different cities, like New York, Boston, Holywood and placed like that, they used lots of lights and fake trees and had different cut outs of the big buildings and landmarks of all the cities, it was beautiful, just a theme to think about.

-- From Kacie, Forest Hills, Maine

Last year our prom theme was "Come Fly With Me', the song. We draped streamers on the ceiling and themed the hallways and other areas different places. All over the walls of the gym we hung flags from different countries. I guess in retrospect it wasn't that great but I put too many hours into it to care! This year our theme is going to be Phantom of the Opera. I love broadways so I am really excited and I can't wait to see it!

-- From Ellen, , OH

This year's prom theme at my school is 'Midnight in Paris'. I'm not sure what it's going to be like, but I'm sure it's going to be a night of fun. The theme says it all!!

We were brainstorming prom ideas this morning. Ancinet greece came up- togas and such, give it some creative name from greek mythology. Black and white classic hollywood was another idea "Hollywoold boulevard" 1920s-1950s hollywood, flappers, jazz, swing.. think Monroe, Garland, Hepburn, Chaplin, Grant, Astaire, Dean, Turner Classic Movies kinda thing... I like that one. Under the baordwalk. Hvae like, a carnival thing at one end, and then a bit more romantic "under" part, street lights and park benches... we also have a potential Bond theme going. We were also thinking of maybe a beach theme, something about "blackandwhiteandred allover" like- sunburn kinda thing. Have black white and red be the "colors" obviously.

-- From Emily M, ,

Our prom theme for last year was "A TOUCH OF CLASS", it turn out really nice.

-- From Bao XIong, Merced High School, Merced, CA

My freshman year I went to prom and the theme was "Crystal Ball." The colors were pink, black, and silver and there were lights hung everywhere and a little gazebo (spelling?) in the middle which made everything look sooo pretty. Then for my sophomore year prom was titled "Hidden Treasure." No way did it amount to my freshman year but it was pretty with the emerald green, royal blue, and silver colors. Just a bit of advice, make sure you have kick ass drinks!! That's the best part of prom!!

-- From Alyson, St. Bernard's HIgh School, California

Last year our prom theme was "Making Memories of Us"

-- From Jaime, ,

Our Theme for our Prom was 007. Since was the class of 2007's prom. They had a classic car brought in to take pictures by, and they had a bar set up were they sold non-alcoholic drinks. I have to admit this year make class we have a hard time beating it.

-- From Kellie, SCHS, Wisconsin
