My freshaman year homecoming our theme was "under the sea" then our our sadie hawkins theme was "50's" and our prom was "Secret Garde". This year my sophomore year our homecoming theme was "Arabian Nights." There are all good and unqiue ideas!

this year our prom theme is arabian nights, but the options were (alice in wonderland's) madhatter and diamonds and ice. i thin kthe madhatter idea is cool!!! im excited for prom but someone needs to do madhatter

JEWEL OF THE NILE it was gorgeous!!! We had a golden tent made of gossamer over half the room, that opend into an egyptian desert sky, we had big fabric pyramids that glowed with lights underneath and a giant mural of the shynx, and the nile river intertwining between it all even the walls were covered with stars! it took a lot of money and we went out out, i highly suggest the same to achieve a magical effect, and a prom that will be remember for years to come!

Last year our prom theme was "There's No Place Like Prom" it was based on the wizard of oz. i know it doesn't sound that awesome but it was. We painted all the murals ourselves and took our pictures by the emerald city. We had a yellow brick road and built the lion and tin man. It was awesome when we got finished. I was really pleased. The year before that we did some like it hot. It was a holly wood theme it was also really cool.

This wasn't our prom theme it was our homecoming theme but would work great for a prom. We did "Fire & Ice" It was awesome. Our mascot is Tigers so for our picture backdrop we traced a Tiger walking out of flames into a snow and ice covered stream and mountain. One side of our gym was done in red christmas lights for the fire and the visitors side was decorated in blue christmas lights for the ice. We had a flame archway and a snow archway. It turned out great and we got tons of compliments!

Our prom last year was Neverland. Our king got a pirate hat insted of a crown and a sword insted of a septor. We had a freshman dress up as Tinkerbell. It was great! We even had a pirate ship. I strongly recommend this theme it was a big hit.

we did "frozen in time" last year for prom. it went over really well. there was a huge glacier type thing made of like shear material in the middle of the room with a stopped clock on it

Well, since we're the class of 2007 and it's the year 2007, it only makes sense to have a 007 prom theme! I think one of my guy friends will be James Bond and he'll have a bunch of girls as his dates ;)

Unfortunately I don't believe us NZ girls have quite mastered the art of creating a magical evening that is The Ball or as you Americans call "The Prom" (last year we did Fire & Ice – I mean COME ON?!) but this year my friend (no I can't take the credit for this one) envisioned our ball set in the middle of "The Rainforest". It was thought to be set in the zoo with wild animals ie. REAL cheetahs and exotic birds and flowers in the background under satin tents “thin enough to see the stars” (shot J.Lo) but... that’s where our creativity ended! I'd like to say to people that from my friends idea I was the one who created a master piece that was Class of '07's magical evening in the middle of the rainforest so I’m just writing to say if you have any ideas or if you're school is doing the same email me some of them and maybe I’ll get my rainforest ball dream! i_luv_green@msn.com

I had this really sweet idea that we aren't doing...but if someone gets inspired, I think it would be cool. I'm from a small town so if it's a litte rustic bear with me...but I think the goal of a prom theme should be to be elegant...but still fun and interesting. What if you did 'Fishing in the Dark" (haha) and you could use the song and have the whole marshy foliage, starry night...with a silver moon and stars...your walk way could be an old school dock and you could even have a little romantic fishing boat sitting in a glittery little pond...lots of white lights and maybe even a willow looking tree!!!! Yay! yeah...we're doin stars...which will be nice I guess...oh well!!!

Well, we've just started planning prom and I was thinking '007...but apparently everyone thought the same. HOWEVER, at our meeting tonight I brought up an asian theme and it was generally well liked. Think kimono looking fabrics for table cloths and things, maybe paper fans or custom made fortune cookies for favours, bamboo stalks for centerpieces, chinese food for the dinner, etc.

our scgooll doesnt have an official prom, but we do have Annual Dinners.last year's it was "Hats, Feathers, and Masquerade".it was pretty cool, all glittery red,gold,and purple.everyone had to come with a mask.and the comittee provided masks for the teachers.

Wow i was just reading through all this prom stuff, it's crazy! haha! At my school in Australia we just had semi-formals in years 7, 8 and 9 i cant remember the themes...then in year 10 we had a formal (no themes, just dressing up :-) and also a formal in year 11. Year 12 we have the deb ball.

Well I'm Class of 06 but I thought it was really cool that our homecoming theme were the superheros. Freshmens were Power Rangers, Sophmores were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Juniors were ??, and Seniors were Batman! And then for our prom, the theme was "A Whole New World". I thought there were going to be flying carpets or whatnot, but there wasn't. I didn't really like the theme, but I didn't mind either so it worked out well I guess.

the theme for our High school junio/senior prom is 007 "casino royale/james bond" theme. we are going to have great decorations- the colors are red silver and black nad we are having large martini glasses as center pieces at tables outside the dance floor. the dance is going to outdoors/ indoors it is going to be the best prom EVER! p.s. make sure its "shaken not stirred" LOL

My high school's junior prom was an egyptian theme that we called "A Night on the Nile," it was seriously amazing. We held our prom at our Memphis Zoo which was perfect coordination with our theme. =]
